The Delivery
At the beginning of the project, EG Information Consulting conducted workshops with the client project team and followed this by spending some time on the shop floor getting to know the business processes, so that the process could be streamlined and performed online in much more effective way.
There were a few iterations of a functional document to ensure every part of the complicated process was catered for and AMI were comfortable with our understanding of the process.
A technical document was also created – detailing every field of the application to allow a developer to code it. There were regular meetings throughout the development to update AMI so they could see the system being built.
The system was deployed after rigorous testing, during the deployment and first few days of use, EG Information Consulting were on hand in case of any problems! But we weren’t needed.
Phase 2 is already being planned, a Management Information System, which will create a reporting function from all the data collated, to improve efficiency even further.
