Background
Entrepreneurs Barry and Ciaran Lynch saw an opportunity to conceive ‘NiftyNosh.com’ as a radical new way to transform the way people order food from ‘food to go’ outlets, using a visually appealing and well structured user experience online.
By introducing this new online ordering service, time-poor customers no longer have to suffer queues and long waiting times.
The Business Requirement
Nifty Nosh wanted ordering your takeaway to become simple for an increasingly ‘tech-savvy’ customer base, with the objective of making food much more convenient for customers, within the ‘touch of a button’.
The Delivery
EG Information Consulting took Nifty Nosh through a measured project management process, starting with Analysis workshops to determine the best way to deliver the technology required to fulfill their objectives.
In this project there was a certain degree of complexity, mainly surrounding the range of food on offer from a large number of restaurants, how to categorize and make it easy for users and restaurants to get the correct orders and data they required.
In the world of food to go, there is plenty of ‘time-pressures’ to ensure smooth operations, and this was an issue that EG Information Consulting sought to deal with, ensuring the right orders went to the right restaurants, opening times were clear, menu changes based on the time of day were clear and up to date and that issues such as cancelations and repeat orders were handled effectively.
EG Information Consulting worked very closely with 3rd party partners on the website design integration, e-commerce and integration of Google maps for users convenience online.
Each restaurant has hardware in place to receive orders and print receipts in real time via the website.
The Result
niftynosh.com provides customers with:
o Instant access to a variety of menus
o A hassle free way to order food
o A quick and easy way to pay for their order online
o No engaged tones and no queues
The service also provides customers with the option of delivery, where applicable.
The website offers a choice of menus from some of Northern Ireland’s leading food-to-go outlets with an extensive offering of sandwiches, deli, Italian, Chinese, Thai and Indian.
Visitors can access the dynamic website and order their breakfast, lunch or dinner for whatever time they choose. Once the order has been processed the customer will receive a confirmation email or SMS, depending on preference, reassuring them that the order has been received error free.
