Role Vacancy - Software Developer

EG are looking for a Software Developer to join our expanding team. The role will involve working as part of the development team and working on different projects within ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server and Javascript.
Reports to: Team Leader / Project Manager

Essential Criteria:
  • 3rd Level IT Degree
  • 2-3 years post graduate experience in ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server and Javascript
  • Candidates should be self-motivated and have solid knowledge and experience of the software development life cycle
  • Good communication skills

Desirable Criteria:
  • At least 1-2 years experience in SQL Server Integration Services. Reporting Services., Microsoft Sharepoint, XML and Windows Mobile Development

Role:

Analysis and Design
Where appropriate
  • Develop system and user acceptance tests
  • Develop implementation plans
  • Document projects to the agreed standard

Development
  • Obtain at full understanding of business requirements, system requirements, technical requirements and project constraints
  • Develop code/deliverables, according to company standards, within the timeframe and effort specified
  • Unit test code
  • Provide support for system testing , user acceptance testing and implementation testing
  • Ensure documentation is complete for all allocated tasks
  • Complete all project administration in a timely manner e.g. timesheets
  • Ensure Project Managers and Team Leaders are appraised of status of work in progress

Customer Liaison
  • Communicate on the project as appropriate with the customer e.g. status, risks, change control etc.
  • Work with Project Managers and Team Leader on customer relationship management as appropriate

Personal Responsibilities
  • Support and assist in the ongoing implementation of the Quality Management System and other company initiatives
  • Help and assist others at all levels with the company where appropriate
  • Stay abreast of technology trends

Other
  • Any tasks that the team leader and Project Managers deem reasonable and appropriate
